What do I need for a hot tub to be delivered?
A flat, firm spot a car with a trailer can reach, about 1.5 m³ of water (a garden hose is enough), a socket for hydro massage and LED lights if it has them, and firewood. Some operators bring water and wood for an extra fee.
How long does a hot tub take to heat up?
A wood-fired tub usually heats up in 2 or 3 hours, longer in cold weather. Light it early and keep the lid on between dips.
Stove inside or outside the tub?
With the stove inside, the water heats faster and takes less wood, but there is less room. An external stove leaves the whole tub free and is safer with children, but it heats more slowly.
Can I rent a hot tub in winter?
Yes, most operators work all year round. After use the water has to be drained so it does not freeze, or the operator does it when collecting.
